Information on Fibres
-
Natural fibres originate from animals [like wool & silk] or plants [like cotton & linen]
Their different levels of quality depend on the spinning technique used to obtain them.
Cotton is moisture absorbent and has hypoallergenic qualities.
-
Plant-based artificial fibres such as acetate, viscose or modal come from wood pulp and are
chemically modified. They are much more absorbent that cotton, very soft and have more
vibrant colour finish
-
Synthetic fibres such as polyamide, polyester, elastane and acrylic are derivatives of oil.
They are easy to care for, don't shrink and keep their shape. They don't absorb moisture
and dry quickly
